LYE based brewery Sadler's Ales have got into the spirit of the Black Country Festival by celebrating one of the area's most acclaimed characters.
They've brewed up a bostin beer in honour of self -styled Faggot King Grorty Dick, who reaches a personal milestone this year.
It's 40 years since Grorty Dicks opened in Halesowen and Sadler's have decided to mark the occasion by creating a new beer called Grorty's Delight.
The 4.3 strength golden ale is on sale at the Sadler's pub where customers can also sample a helping of faggots and peas at the same time.
Sadler's spokesman Ian King said: "We've tried to produce a beer which compliments faggots and peas.
"Grorty Dick, whose real name is Richard James, is a real Black Country character with a real love for the region. He opened Grorty's Theatre in Halesowen, while his Black Country Bus Tours have been going strong for the past 30 years.
"We hope Grorty's Delight will go down well with local folk but also go cap in hand with helping to promote the Black Country Festival."
