DUDLEY people are being urged to make sure they are registered to have a say in who will run the region’s police force.
Following the sudden death of West Midlands police and crime commissioner, Bob Jones, on July 1, there will be a by-election on Thursday August 21 to choose his successor.
Residents are being reminded to make sure they have registered to vote by Tuesday August 5.
John Polychronakis, chief executive and elections returning officer at Dudley Council, said: “It is an important opportunity for people to have their say on how policing is carried out across the West Midlands.”
People can register to vote online by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by calling 01384 814740.
