TV viewers will find out tonight (Thursday August 7) whether a Stourbridge film fan's garden shed turned home cinema has won Channel 4's Shed of the Year competition.

Paul Slim's incredible 'Reelwood' cinema shed was voted winner of the unique category of the competition, featured on Amazing Spaces - presented by George Clarke - when the first of three shows aired on July 24.

The 37-year-old technician from Amblecote, who kitted a simple garden shed out with a 219-inch screen, sound system, reclining seats, cinema memorabilia and 3,000-strong DVD collection to make it a mecca for the movie-mad, said: "I can’t believe I made it through to the final as the quality of the other sheds was outstanding. I would like to thank everyone who voted for me, I’m quite a quiet person and I’m not used to all the attention especially people congratulating me whilst I am out and about."

The final of the competition, sponsored by Cuprinol, can be seen tonight (Thursday August 7) at 8pm on Channel 4.

A £1,000 prize is up for grabs for the overall winner.
