THE Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley is ready to turn back the clock this weekend by running a history through the ages event.

Suitably attired re-enactors from the medieval, Georgian, Jacobean and regency periods will be available to talk about the era they represent, their costume and what life was like for people at the time.

History themed workshops will also be taking place on Saturday (August 9) where visitors will be invited to make their own peg doll or coat of arms and create felt flowers.

They can also dye their own t-shirt.

Glassmaking demonstrations will also be taking place throughout the weekend from 10am until 4pm.

Cllr Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environment and culture said: "The cone's re-enactment events are always very popular and add a different dimension to the site, which is itself steeped in history."

Admission is free.
