RESIDENTS are being urged to get more involved in the running of the borough’s housing estates.

Dudley Council has invited people to a Take Control and Get Involved housing conference, which aims to promote opportunities for tenants, leaseholders and homeowners to influence how housing services are delivered.

It will be held at the Copthorne Hotel, The Waterfront, Brierley Hill, on Wednesday October 1 from 9.30am until 2.30pm.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for housing, said: “The housing conference will be the event of the year for housing services and we want people to get in touch as soon as possible to ensure they don’t miss it.

“We will be talking about a whole host of items including the new involvement structure, consultation on the estate management review and future hopes for housing services.

“We will also be showcasing many of the initiatives housing services has on offer at an informative marketplace.”

Anyone interested in attending, or who would like more information, should call 1384 815168 or email participation@dudley.gov.uk.

Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
