A NEW tenants and residents association is encouraging Lye locals to get more involved by holding a drop-in event.
The Love Claycroft Tenants and Residents Association (TRA) is hosting the event tomorrow (Tuesday August 19) from 11am to 1pm, at the Police Hub, Crosswalks Community Centre.
People will have the opportunity to meet members and chat about any ideas and concerns they may have about the Claycroft estate.
Local police will also be on hand to provide crime prevention advice. Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for housing and community safety, said: “This is a new TRA and I would encourage anyone living on the estate to get involved.
"This is your chance to shape housing services in the Lye area and put forward any ideas about how to improve the neighbourhood for everyone.
“Having a drop-in event is an excellent idea to reach as many people as possible and there will certainly be plenty to do, including activities to keep the children happy, advice from the police, plus the chance to meet current TRA members.”
