A STOURBRIDGE financial services company will be putting charity first at a sporting fundraiser next month.

Staff at Prosperity Wealth will take time out from offering support with mortgages and pensions to stage a charity golf day at Bewdley Pines Golf Club on October 1 in aid of WeLoveCarers.

The charity supports unpaid carers and their families by offering advice, advocacy and befriending services at its Insight House premises in Brierley Hill.

Matt Bell, director of Prosperity Wealth based on St John's Road, said: "We're looking forward to taking part in the day and raising money for a fantastic local charity at the same time.

"There are a couple of us here who have personal experience of the fantastic service offered by WeLoveCarers and we hope we can raise hundreds of pounds to support them in their work."

Loraine Stockton, project co-ordinator at WeLoveCarers, added: "We are extremely grateful to staff and clients at Prosperity Wealth for choosing to support us in this way.

"We are a small local charity with no funding whatsoever so we have to raise our own money to provide the services so this gesture is hugely appreciated."
