AN appeal has been launched to find elderly Stourbridge people in need who would benefit from a free food hamper.
The Stourbridge and Halesowen branch of Age Concern has received an “abundance” of harvest festival donations from a Kidderminster school.
Appeals director Hayley Green and Cradley South councillor Ken Turner said they had been overwhelmed by the generosity of the Holy Trinity pupils.
He said: “We want to hear people who are housebound or handicapped, people who need help, or who know someone who does, to contact us and we will deliver a food hamper.”
Cllr Turner added: “We have such an abundance of produce from the school – who have links with one of our ex-directors – and any surplus will go to the foodbank.”
He can be contacted on 01384 395534 or 0121 501 3930.
