FINAL preparations are taking place ahead of the Himley Park bonfire tomorrow night (Saturday November 8).
Thousands of people are expected to flock to the event, which has been organised by Dudley Council and sponsored by Sanders and Co Solicitors.
The soundtrack to the diva and dudes’ themed fireworks event will feature some of the biggest names in rock and pop including Beyonce, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.
Gates will open at 4.30pm and Heart FM will be entertaining the crowd from 6.30pm.
The giant bonfire, made up of over 1,500 pallets, which have been donated by local businesses, will be lit at 7.45pm with the fireworks spectacular starting at 8.30pm.
Thrill seekers will be able to enjoy the Thomas Jones’ giant funfair and seasonal refreshments will also be on offer.
Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “The Himley Bonfire is a fantastic event that draws people in from across the region every year.
"We are really grateful to all the local businesses who have contributed to the pile of pallets, which will become our spectacular bonfire.”
Tickets cost £9 for adults, £4.50 for juniors and senior citizens, while under fives go free.
A family ticket for two adults and two children costs £23 and car parking is £3.
A free bus service is available from Dudley, Coseley, Sedgley, Quarry Bank, Brierley Hill, Halesowen and Stourbridge.
