FASHION chain Peacocks is moving into Stourbridge in time for Christmas.

The store is planning to open a new outlet in the Ryemarket shopping centre at the end of November.

The chain has been adding new stores to its portfolio over the years and currently has 400 nationwide and more than 200 in other countries across Europe.

Calendar Club, which opens more than 300 temporary calendar/diary/gift stores in shopping centres across the UK from September to January, also moved into the Ryemarket at the beginning of this month.

The Sweet Factory and army surplus store Mean and Green are also relatively new additions to the centre.

Ryemarket manager Kelley Dyas welcomed the new stores to the shopping centre and said she hopes to announce further new lettings in the next few weeks.
