STOURBRIDGE College is set to unveil its revamped state-of-the-art Hagley Road campus next month (Friday March 27).

College bosses will be staging an official opening to showcase the high tech Centre of Excellence building for Health and Social Care plus Early Years - following a £5million facelift.

The college hopes the reinvigorated facilities, especially in Health and Social Care, Early Years and Engineering, will help revive a shortfall of skills within these sectors and address a gap by equipping students with skills which employers now need.

John Starmer, director of estates and facilities at Stourbridge College, said classrooms have been enhanced with state-of-the-art IT and new audio visual equipment and TV screens to help boost teaching and learning opportunities.

He said: "Our new building was handed over to us on time and on schedule.

"In the new Centre of Excellence, we've got a brand new clinical practice area for our Health and Social Care students and a simulated creative play area for our Early Years students.

"Everyone will benefit from the amazing wide open spaces, refurbished offices and classrooms."
