BLACK Country stationary giants Maped Helix are on the lookout to try and find the UK's oldest Oxford Maths Set.

The historic company has launched a competition to coincide with this year's National Stationary Week which takes place from April 27 to May 3 at the London Stationary Show.

They will offer the owner of the oldest tin a £50 voucher together with £25 worth of Helix stationary as a prize and now want people to get in touch with them.

Helix was originally based in Lye following its formation in 1887, but has since moved to Pensnett Trading Estate.

They launched their renowned Oxford brand in 1935 and Maped Helix general manager Adrian Ellis said: " We still have people telling us they still own stationary they had as a child and have held onto their Oxford tins.

"We are incredibly proud of our rich history and the fact our products have been used by generations of families. It's the quality of products which have stood the test of time. We would love to hear from anyone who thinks they may have the oldest Oxford Maths Set Tin."
