A LARGE area of grassland was on fire in a field in Stourbridge last night (Monday, March 2).
West Midlands Fire Service received a call reporting the fire, affecting 50 sq metres of grassland in a field off Norton Road, at 7.47pm.
A single crew from Stourbridge Fire Station were alerted to and attended the incident where the firefighters tackled it with grass beaters and a knapsack.

It is currently unknown what caused the fire.
