STOURBRIDGE will once again be playing host to the popular Midlands Whisky Festival this weekend.

Such has been the success of the previous six festivals that organisers Nickolls and Perks have decided to hold the latest biennial bash over two days this time.

Taking place at Stourbridge Town Hall on Friday March 27 from 6pm to 9.30pm and throughout the day on Saturday March 28 - the event is expected to attract around 750 visitors from across the UK and beyond.

Tim Robbins, from Nickolls and Perks wine merchants in Coventry Street, said: "We’ve added a Friday evening slot to accompany the Saturday daytime event and cope with the demand for tickets.

"We’ve also added even more exhibitors – around 35, including Matthieu de Gottal, a chocolatier specialising in whisky-laced chocolates and fine cheeses from Stamford Cheese Shop, as well as an enviable range of distilleries and experts presenting masterclasses.

"Saturday is now completely sold out – and there are just a few tickets left for Friday evening at £30."
