A DUDLEY charity for soldiers, sailors and airmen has benefitted from a £300 donation from a fraternal group.

Colonel David Hill MBE, chairman of West Midlands North Branch of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association, received the donation from Paul Oakley, on behalf of The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, at a presentation event at the Army Reserve Centre in Swinford Road, Oldswinford, Stourbridge.

The money will help the Dudley and District Division of the SSAFA, Britain’s oldest military charity, to continue to provide support to forces personnel and their families and dependants.

Lorraine Lees, a volunteer case worker for the group - which is based at the Army Reserve Centre, Wiggins House, Oldswinford, said the charity has been in existence for 125 years.
