A HISTORIC chainmaking shop opened to the public by renowned Cradley Heath artist Luke Perry at the weekend.
About 30 people of all ages saw chainmaking in action and had the “hands on” opportunity to work with hammers, anvils and barrows.
The Mushroom Green chain shop, Quarry Bank, is exactly as it was 100 years ago.
Paul Hinckley, from Cradley Heath, said: “Luke Perry was great in engaging the audience and sharing his expertise.
“One of the children who came with her family had a go at making a link – very successful as it turned out.”
He added: “All in all, an excellent event, and a fantastic way to celebrate this important part of our local heritage.”
Mushroom Green will be open on the second Sunday of every month until October.
