A Stourbridge teenager was arrested on suspicion of Syria related terrorism offences.

The 18-year-old was detained by officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit at an address in Lye.

He was taken to a Birmingham police station for questioning.

The Redditch Advertiser reports that the driver of a high performance sports car, who killed a rugby referee in a head-on crash, has been jailed for 30 months.

John Shaw, aged 61, of The Meadway in Headless Cross, was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving after a trial at Worcester Crown Court.
