MORE than 300 scouts will be taking part in an annual Stourbridge St George’s Day event tomorrow (Saturday April 25).
To mark the occasion, Stourbridge and District Scouts will be holding a afternoon of scouting activities in Mary Stevens Park, Norton.
The celebratory event will kick off with a parade at 11.45am to the park from the TA Centre in Swinford Road, via Love Lane and Stanley Road, which will be led by the 451 (Stourbridge) Squadron Air Training Cadet Band.
Then in the park, off Stanley Road, the scouts will be demonstrating woogle making and bush craft skills; there will also be face painting on offer and members of West Midlands Police and Fire Service will also be attending.
Stourbridge’s Base Studios will be hosting live music throughout the event – and an open mic tent will host performances from young Black Country musicians.
Youngsters and adults interested in volunteering can also find out more about scouting.
