BLIND and visually impaired people from the Thomas Pocklington Trust will be attempting to strike a blow at Stourbridge's International Festival of Glass.
They have been invited to blow a series of glass globes which will form part of a dazzling multi-coloured chandelier.
The chandelier is being created as part of the festival's Community Breath project and Thomas Pocklington's Claire Bayley claimed the charity is delighted to play a part.
She said: “This is something truly exciting for our members and staff to get involved with.
“For them to be able to create something that contributes to this area's longstanding culture of glass blowing is tremendous!”
The glass blowing will be captured in audio for the charity's Talking Newspaper for the Blind, which is a free weekly newspaper on CD distributed across the borough for people who are blind or partially sighted.
The Thomas Pocklington Trust is situated in Oldswinford at the Mary Stevens Centre, in Hagley Road, and supports people with sight loss in the Dudley area.
