SPECIALIST rope rescue teams from Droitwich had to be called after two people got stuck about 300 metres up the face of a quarry in the Malvern Hills.
The pair called for help after getting stuck in North Quarry in the West Malvern area at about 5pm on Saturday, May 30.
Although a police officer initially went to the scene, they found they were unable to do anything and called for help from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
Rope rescue teams from both Malvern and Droitwich were sent to the scene and used off-road vehicles to reach the area.
They spent about two hours and 20 minutes rescuing the pair, neither of whom were hurt.
A spokesman from the fire service said it was not known how they had got stuck in the first place as paths in the area are clearly laid out and signposted.
