A Redditch mum has praised the quick thinking of staff at Alexandra Hospital after giving birth outside the hospital.

Sam Holder, from Headless Cross, gave birth to son Hugo on the pavement just outside the A&E.

The Dudley News reports a Netherton man has been cleared of attempting to murder a 23-year-old man outside a Dudley pub.

Darren Edwards, aged 36, of Kilburn Place, was accused of stabbing Christopher Perkins several times after a punch up outside The Earl of Dudley Arms in Wellington Road.

After hearing all of the evidence, the five man-seven woman jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts.

A terrified Halesowen mother fears she is driving a “time bomb” after the side airbag in her Renault Clio exploded, ripping the passenger seat apart.

Just an hour earlier Lisa Gardener’s 11-year-old daughter, Abbie, was sitting in the front seat on her way to school.

Renault UK has not commented on the incident that happened when she was driving along the Hagley Road.

Meanwhile, a dog owner is warning others to be vigilant after her five-month-old puppy picked up a tissue containing a slow releasing poison in a Stourport park.

Corinne Bowden was walking Nellie, a King Charles Cavalier and Bichon Frise cross, in Stourport War Memorial Park when the incident took place, and the dog had to to be taken in to emergency veterinary care.
