A NEW app has been launched by Dudley’s health chiefs in a bid to make patient experience feedback quicker, easier and more effective.

The Mi Experience feedback app, designed by Dudley CCG and Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, will enable Russells Hall Hospital patients, carers and families to interact with the services at the click of a button.

Users can anonymously send their feedback, thoughts and comments about the ward or department they have visited, which will be shared with frontline staff in real-time so it can be addressed.

Dr Jonathan Darby, Dudley CCG’s clinical lead, said: "Staff find it rewarding to hear feedback from patients and have embraced the technology as a way of receiving real time feedback from their patients and families receiving care at the hospital.”

Paula Clark, chief executive of the Dudley group, said: “I’m really excited by the launch of the new app – we’re always keen to hear what our patients have to say about the services we provide and encourage feedback whenever we can.

“This app will mean it’s quicker and easier for people to share their views in real-time so I’m sure it will be a real success with our patients and visitors.”

Developed in partnership with Horizon Strategic Partners, the app – available to download via the App Store and Google Play – will be rolled out across the trust from today (September 3).
