TRANSPORT cops are appealing for information after a fight on a train at Stourbridge Junction railway station.

British Transport Police officers were called to a report of a fight on board a train between Kidderminster and Birmingham at around 9.30pm on Saturday August 8 as it pulled into Stourbridge Junction.

PC Tom Kelly, investigating, said: “A number of people witnessed a fight on a train involving around ten people.

“The fight continued onto the station platform and at least one man involved received a cut to his lip and nose.”

Officers are now conducting enquiries to try and identify those responsible, including looking at CCTV images from the station and on board the train.

PC Kelly added: “BTP will not tolerate aggressive or antisocial behaviour on trains or at stations and we will always do everything in our power to investigate upsetting incidents like this.

“This was a busy train with a number of people on board who would have seen what took place."
