A WOMAN was stabbed in Dudley on Saturday morning.

Police were called to St Georges Close in Kates Hill, just after 2.30am and arrested a 31-year-old man.

The woman, aged 29, was taken to hospital and her condition was described as serious.

A MAN will appear in court this morning (Monday) charged with possession of an imitation firearm following reports that someone was armed with a gun in Brierley Hill.

A 23-year-old was arrested on Saturday after officers were called to Level Street at about 1pm following reports there was an armed man at the business district in Waterfront Way.

A RELATIONSHIP ended badly when a Stourport woman attacked her partner with an ashtray after he tried to break up with her in his home.

But despite ending up in court on an assault charge, Sarah Newell's ex-partner, and victim, Michael Coles told the court he wanted to take her back after everything that happened and give their relationship another go.

Leslie Ashton, prosecuting, said police were called to Mr Coles' address on October 14 to reports that Newell was being abusive and was refusing to leave.
