YOUNG book worms across the borough have nominated their top reads from 2015 for a prestigious Dudley award.
A total of six titles have been shortlisted for The Dudley Teenage Book Award 2015 which aims to get more youngsters into and enjoying reading.
Young people can vote for their favourite book on the Dudley Libraries website www.dudley.gov.uk/libraries until Friday March 11.
Cllr Rachel Harris, Dudley’s cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “The award aims to develop a reading culture amongst young people and also to encourage them to read less traditional writers and to read books they would otherwise not choose.”
The six short-listed books are Seven Days by Evie Ainsworth, Demolition Dad by Phil Earle, How to Fly with Broken Wings by Jane Elson, Railhead by Philip Reeve, Blackthorn Key by Kevin Sands and Five Things They Never Told Me by Rebecca Westcott.
The winning book will be announced at a presentation ceremony in March.
