BLACK Country lovebirds looking to sweep their favourite bloke or wench off their feet this Valentine’s Day can pick up a greetings card with a difference.
The Black Country T Shirt Shop, which opened its doors in Dudley in December, have released two cards in traditional Black Country ‘spake’.
One displays the traditional Love Heart sweets but with the slogans replaced with ‘I Luv Yow’ and ‘Giz A Kiss’ while the other features the poem ‘Owd To Yow Owd Un’.
James Watkins, printer at the Castle Street shop, said: “We have had such a great reaction to our Black Country Christmas and birthday cards that the Valentine’s Day card was the perfect next step for people to express their feelings in their local dialect with a bit of humour thrown in for good measure.
“Plus you know what they say, after money, good looks, nice body and a cool car, a sense of humour is the best aphrodisiac.”
