CORONATION Street star Paula Lane is to leave the show after six years playing troubled Kylie Platt.

The actress, who is pregnant with her second child, has revealed she will quit the soap when she takes maternity leave in June.

ITV said writers are working on her "dramatic exit", which will focus on the climax of a storyline which saw Lane's character murder villainous ex-boyfriend Callum Logan during a live episode last September.

ZAYN Malik celebrated in style as his first solo single stormed straight to number one in the US.

He shared a picture of himself clutching a cloud of well-deserved balloons, including a number one, as it was revealed Pillowtalk had taken the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart – beating One Direction’s peak of second position.

Zayn also scored number one in the UK after releasing his first solo single on January 29.

SAMUEL L Jackson revealed he once experienced racial profiling after a run-in with the police over two decades ago.

In a powerful piece for Vanity Fair, the 67-year-old recounted an incident in which he fell victim to discriminative law enforcement way back when he first emerged on the Hollywood scene While shooting the iconic Pulp Fiction, Samuel found himself filling in the gaps between filming by starring in a theatre production in LA.

After wrapping up his performance one night, the budding actor joined his friends at a nearby restaurant and it was on his journey home Samuel encountered the policemen.

“All of a sudden, five sheriffs’ cars screeched up. The policemen surrounded us, guns pointed, lights in our face: ‘Get on the ground!” Samuel recalled.
