A STOURBRIDGE youngster will be seen nationwide as part of a Lye transport company's clever branding and advertising campaign.

Parker Butler, aged two, has had his image plastered onto the back of one of Andyfreight's lorries.

The Folkes Road based firm, which has been trading for 30 years and delivers all over the UK, uses pictures of toddlers on the back of over 60 vehicles, with the phrase 'Just about the only thing not delivered by Andyfreight'.

Parker's mother Helen Butler drives past the depot every morning and popped in to ask if he could be featured on a lorry.

Andy Pountney, owner of Andyfreight and also chairman of Stourbridge Football Club, has already featured the children of club players and officials on the lorries.

Transport manager Nick White said: "We thought it would be a nice thing to do as Helen had obviously noticed the pictures as she drove past the depot and that is partly the purpose of them - to get us noticed as a brand.

"She was also cheeky enough to pop in and ask so we were happy to get the picture done and have it put on one of our newer vehicles - we don't do it for everyone but we do like to think we are community minded and Parker's a nice lad."

Helen, a clothing designer, said: "I have seen the images on the back of the trucks and been impressed by them, then one day I was looking at the screen saver picture of Parker on my computer and thought I would try and get him on there.

"He had a great time at the depot - though I think he was more interested in getting in the cab than seeing his image on the back, everyone looked after him and he loved it.

"Somebody has already spotted the lorry on the M6 and I'd like to thank everyone at Andyfreight for doing this."
