BOROUGH health chiefs want the public's views on its new combined model of care.
Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have launched a consultation as part of its development of a Multi-specialty Community Provider (MCP), which will bring community health and care groups together as a single organisation.
GP practices, nurses, community health and mental health services, physiotherapy, hospital specialists and others from across Dudley will be brought together by the MCP.
Dr David Hegarty, GP and chairman of Dudley CCG, said: “We have been busy having lots of conversations with our local communities for some time now and we have used this feedback to help design a new model of care.
“We want to make it easier for health and care staff to work together to deliver services to Dudley people. We think that bringing these services together into a single new organisation will make a difference.
“We now want views on which services should be included, the way that organisation works and the way that we measure how successful they are.”
Under the new system, patients will have care overseen by a team of specialist nurses, social workers, mental health services and voluntary sector staff working together.
An eight week consultation which will combine public meetings and online surveys and feedback given to GP practices, closes on Friday September 9.
