DUDLEY'S mental health trust is encouraging people of the borough to get the help they need by talking to the experts.

Individuals who are experiencing common problems such as anxiety, depression, low mood, panic or phobias can get the support of Dudley Talking Therapy Service.

A team of highly experienced therapists provide a range of therapies to help people get back to enjoying life and engaging with work or daily activities.

These include offering wellbeing workshops, Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CCBT), group or individual therapy, self-help guidance and signposting to other support services.

Heidi Davies, team manager at Dudley Talking Therapy Service, said: “We know that people often find it difficult to seek the help and support available to talk to someone about how they are feeling, but many of us will experience these common problems at some point in our lives.

“We’ve recently introduced self-referral into the service so people can talk to us directly to get the help and support they need.”

The varied range of treatments and support means that people can continue with their daily life but still have access to treatments that can fit in around work, family and other commitments.

Heidi added: “Ultimately, we want to help the people of Dudley access services that will enable them to live their lives and maintain their wellbeing.”

Anyone can refer to Dudley Talking Therapy Service as long as they are a school leaver aged 16 or over, and are registered with a Dudley GP.
