A WEEKLY street market could be heading to Stourbridge as plans are set to go before councillors on Tuesday (November 1).
Earlier this year Enville-based firm LSD Promotions wanted to launch a food and craft market in Stourbridge High Street and Market Street on Thursdays, blocking the roads off from traffic.
However, those plans were withdrawn, and now the company has come up with the new idea to make its twice monthly market – which is held in Market Street – a weekly event each Saturday.
As well as that, LSD propose moving the market to a new location in Crown Square at the junction of Lower High Street and Coventry Street.
Councillors are set to decide on November 1 whether to give consent for the weekly market when the plans go before Dudley Council’s Licensing Sub-Committee.
