FANS of Corrie will be able to meet Street bad boy David Platt when actor Jack P Shepherd who plays the controversial TV character stops off in Stourbridge this weekend.

Chicago's is hosting an evening with the Coronation Street soap star on Friday December 2 for over 18s only - and then on Saturday (December 3) the club will be opening its doors from midday to under 18s who will be able to meet and greet the TV actor between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, before he heads off to switch on the town's Christmas lights at 5pm.

General manager Jamie Whittingham said: “When we host celebrity appearances there is always high demand from younger members of the community to meet them.

“This weekend we wanted to bring some festive cheer to Chicago's by making those requests possible. In addition to our ticketed event on the Friday night we will also be open on Saturday afternoon and would like to welcome anyone under 18 who would like the chance to meet Jack first-hand.”

Admission for the Saturday afternoon meet and greet is free and will be managed on a first come first serve basis.

Tickets to meet the star on Friday are £6 on the door or available online in advance from www.chicagosbars.co.uk/stourbridge/events
