AFTER appearing in front of thousands at the O2 as part of Channel 4's Comedy Gala, stand up Charlie Baker will be welcomed into a slightly smaller venue in Stourbridge.

The comedian, who is also an accomplished singer, will bring his own hilarious and unique takes on classic tunes to Fitz of Laugher Comedy Club, at Katie Fitzgerald’s, on Friday, February 3.

He will be joined on the Wollaston venue’s bill by George Rigden and the return of Damian Kingsley, while the night will be hosted as ever by resident compere Wayne Beese.

Wayne said: “We're delighted with the line-up for February's show and it promises to be a top night.

“Charlie Baker has been on the telly in a whole host of programmes, from Eastenders, Dr Who and Never Mind The Buzzcocks to Miranda and The IT Crowd.

“In support we've got George Rigden, who is hotly tipped as one to watch. He has just been nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year award, won in the past by the likes of Romesh Ranganathan.

“And Damian Kingsley completes the bill, who did a short spot for us last year and is back by popular demand.

“All in all it promises to be a great night full of laughs, so we would urge people to book quickly to avoid disappointment.”

Tickets for the show, which sees doors opening at 8pm, cost £10 and are available, with no booking fee, online at www.skiddle.com/e/12846618 or by calling Wayne on 07759 543750.
