A SECURITY guard was attacked and robbed of cash outside a Kidderminster bank today (Tuesday, January 24).

A BRIERLEY Hill businessman accused of organising a hate campaign against his former girlfriend that ended with her car being firebombed has maintained to a jury he had "never asked anybody to do anything in a violent and destructive manner".

Robert McNaughton stressed: "I have never paid anyone in my life to do any damage or to cause harm to anyone in a business or personal sense. Never."

AN inquest has been opened and subsequently suspended into the death of an Amblecote woman after a charge of manslaughter was brought upon her son.

Hazel Jennens, aged 78, died in Russells Hall Hospital on January 20, 2016, from respiratory failure and pneumonia after suffering a broken hip during an alleged altercation with her son Mark Jennens.

BUOYANT Bromsgrove Sporting are set to break their crowd record this Saturday when they play Bristol Manor Farm in the FA Vase Fifth Round.

Sporting are bracing themselves for a massive turnout at their Victoria Ground which seems certain to beat their previous best attendance of 989 when they faced Coventry United in a top of the table Midland League match.
