IT is the first Friday of February.
The weather is vile out there, with rain and strong wins and sadly do not expect much improvement over the weekend.
But how will your journey home be? Will your dinner be piping hot or in the dog when you get home?
There are some minor delays on London Midland routes but the Midland Metro is running smoothly.
Dudley Police have just tweeted (4.30pm) that "Pedmore Road is closed to traffic heading from Merry Hill following a serious collision. The Gateway also shut, please avoid area."
The road is blocked from Level Street to Holly Hall.
Also in Dudley there are delays of 25 minutes on the A457 Sedgley Road from A4123 Birmingham New Road towards Parkes Hall Road with queues from Tipton.
There has just (5pm) been an accident in Stourport on A451 Minster Road partially blocking road at Manor Road.
As for the motorway network, the M42 is at a standstill near Tamworth, and there has been smoke reported on M5 southbound between J5 Droitwich and J6 Worcester There are reports of delays in Wednesbury on A4616 Wood Green Road heading out of town through roadworks towards M6.
There are delays on M6 northbound after earlier accident between J5 Solihull and J7 M6.
Update: 6.50pm. There has been an accident in Tividale on A4033 Dudley Road West partially blocking road at Britannia Street.
