THAT clock is ticking and we are getting ever closer to the land of salvation called “home time”…well, unless you are working the late shift.

Naturally, everyone wants to get home as quickly as possible to enjoy the evening, so why not use our traffic and travel page to help plot your journeys?

A quick look around North Worcestershire and the Black Country has thrown up the following congestion hot spots:

*A441 Birmingham Road. Temporary traffic lights are in use at Weights Lane as work continues on a new housing development.

*A4100 High Street, Cradley Heath. Road is closed both ways between B4173 Newtown Lane and St Anne’s Road due to gas main works. Bus services 4M, 17, 24, 243, 289 and X10 are being diverted and will not serve the High St. A temporary stop is in use on Foxoak Street.

*A450 Stourbridge Road, Harvington. Water main works are taking place between Tandy’s Lane and Woodrow Lane and temporary traffic lights are in use.

*Dudley Road, Halesowen. Junction improvements are being carried out at the A4099 Coombs Road and Furnace Hill and temporary traffic lights are in operation.
