TWO members of Bromsgrove Speakers Club have reached the finals of a national competition after winning the West Midlands district heats.
Luke Evans won the ‘speech’ contest for his delivery of 'A Public Service Announcement', while Peter Worthington won the ‘topics’ prize for his speech ‘If Music Be the Food of Love’.
Their prize for winning the regional final at The Village Hotel in Solihull on March 12 is a place in the national finals at The Gatwick Hilton in London between April 21-23.
Club member Margaret Brown said: “I am thrilled that Bromsgrove won.
“We must be doing something right to have two winners!"
