POLICE have charged a second teenager with the murder of Netherton man Simon Johnson.

The father-of-two was found with fatal stab wounds at his Cradley Road home on August 11 last year.

Damilola Johnson, aged 18, was charged with murder today (Monday).

He will appear before Walsall Magistrates Court in July.

Detectives have already charged a 16-year-old with murder and another 16-year-old with burglary, from the same night Mr Johnson was killed.

Neither can be named, for legal reasons.

They both appeared at Walsall Magistrates' Court on Saturday and were remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Wednesday.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "These charges have come as a result of a long detailed and protracted enquiry.

"If anyone has further information, please call 101."

Mr Johnson, aged 41, had worked as a fitter for Black Country Glazing in Cradley Heath.

At the time of his death, Gemma Howell, office manager at the Station Street double glazing firm, said: "Everyone here is devastated that we have lost one of our own, who was not just an employee but a friend as well."

His wife also paid tribute to her husband.

She said: “Simon was loved by all of his family and was a very proud father of two girls."
