A MAN who was behind the wheel of a car when it ploughed into the side of Pensnett family’s home has been banned from driving for six months.

Stuart William Hincks, aged 30, of Haden Road, Pensnett, was given a 12 month community order for taking the Peugeot 207 without the consent of the owner on May 17.

Dudley Magistrates Court was told the crash had caused “substantial damage” to the property on Chelmar Drive.

Hincks was also sentenced for driving without a licence or insurance.

He was given a six week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 6am and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £185 court costs.

The following also appeared before the courts between June 12 and 15: Aaron Kenneth Harris, aged 38, of Blackacre Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing goods, worth £188, from Debenhams, Brierley Hill, on June 11. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20.

Andrew William Povey, aged 51, of Blackacre Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for four weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing goods, worth £188, from Debenhams, Brierley Hill, on June 11. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Brett Melvyn Williams, aged 39, of Highfield Road, Netherton, was given a six month community order for stealing items, worth £78.19, from shops in Dudley, Wollaston and Wordsley between April 22 and June 10. He was also sentenced for possessing diamorphine in Oldbury on May 26 and failing to surrender to custody at Walsall Magistrates Court on June 2, having been released on bail. He was given a four week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £50 court costs.

Sinead Keeli Greaves, aged 27, of Northfield Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 16 weeks for stealing fabric conditioner, worth £27, from Wilkinsons, Dudley, on April 21 and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on June 9, having been released on bail. She must pay compensation of £27 and a victim surcharge of £115.

Jamie Lee Richards, aged 26, of Hereford Road, Netherton, was fined £100 for breaching the peace and resisting a constable in the execution of his duty, in Dudley, on June 12. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Balraj Singh Virk, aged 27, of Northgate Close, Milking Bank, was fined £40 for being drunk and disorderly in Oldbury on May 19. He was also fined £75 for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on June 2, having been released on bail. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Wayne Mark Williams, aged 37, of High Street, Lye, was given a nine month community order for stealing items, worth £531, from shops in Brierley Hill on May 8 and June 12. He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Black Country Magistrates Court on May 26, having been released on bail. He was given a six week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Samantha Barnfield, aged 31, of High Street, Cradley Heath, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a woman, stealing two miniature bottles of brandy, worth £27, from International Mini Market, Cradley Heath, on May 28, and causing £300 worth of damage to a car. She was also sentenced for stealing an iPhone 6 Plus on June 23. She must pay compensation of £877 and a victim surcharge of £85.

Gemma Louise Gunn, aged 28, of Birmingham New Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with the intention to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, in Dudley on October 10, 2016. The offence was racially aggravated. She must pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £85 and £50 court costs.

Steven Craig Tanner, aged 25, of Blackacre Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing clothing, worth £145, from Superdry, Merry Hill, on April 22. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.

Luke Hughes-Roberts, aged 25, of Islington, Halesowen, was sent to prison for six weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing items, worth £55.59, from shops in Halesowen on March 7 and 12. He must pay compensation of £55.59, a victim surcharge of £115 and £100 court costs.

Janet Rollinson, aged 53, of Wavell Road, Quarry Bank, was sent to prison for 154 days for stealing items, worth £239.98, from shops in Brierley Hill on April 1 and 12. She was also sentenced for failing to provide a non-intimate sample for the purpose of ascertaining whether she had a class A drug in her body on June 14. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Karl Anthony Kent, aged 31, of Douglas Road, Oldbury, was discharged conditionally for 12 months, for stealing two bottles of wine, worth £8, from Sainsbury’s, Oldbury, and causing £180 worth of damage to a marked police car and custody cell on June 1. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £180 compensation.

Darren John Whitehouse, aged 36, of Cot Lane, Kingswinford, was discharged conditionally for 24 months for stealing washing tablets, worth £20, from Heron Foods, Kingswinford, on April 17. He must pay compensation of £20, a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.
