ORGANISATIONS from across the borough have come together to create an activity programme to keep youngsters entertained during the summer holidays.

Summer Fest 2K17 has been developed through the Children and Young People’s Alliance and acts as an online directory, bringing a number of activities, events and play schemes together in one place.

It is available through the council’s Family Information Service at http://fis.dudley.gov.uk/FSD/ under the summer holiday 2017 activities and events section.

Councillor Anne Millward, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “We know that finding things to do during the summer holidays can pose a problem for many parents and young people.

“This directory is a great way for people to find out what’s on, without having to trawl through information on lots of different websites.

“I am amazed at the number of events and activities taking part across our borough ranging from play schemes to dance, sport, faith groups, museums, charity events, to name but a few, all of which are organised by a whole host of public, voluntary and private organisations."
