A 50-YEAR-OLD from Brierley Hill was given a suspended prison sentence for possessing a kitchen knife.

Carl Cina, of Stourbridge Road, had the weapon with him in Oldswinford on June 1.

When he appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court, he was given a six month prison sentence, suspended for two years. 

He was also sentenced for stealing items, worth £196.83, from stores in Stourbridge on May 24, 29 and June 1, 4 and 23. 

He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Steven Richard Broadway, aged 26, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was fined £65, for stealing a Betty Boo mannequin, worth £200, from the Mary Stevens Hospice shop in Dudley on June 20. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Adam Tony Morris, aged 35, of Mount Road, Wordsley, was given a two month community order for driving while disqualified in Kingswinford on March 6. He was also sentenced for driving without insurance. He was given an eight week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He was disqualified from driving for five months and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £400 court costs.

Adam James Power, aged 31, of Hartlebury Road, Oldbury, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing coffee, worth £29.94, from Iceland, Smethwick, on July 22. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Jessica Rose Jury, aged 25, of Wallace Close, Oldbury, was sent to prison for 22 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing clothes, worth £43, from Matalan, Smethwick, on July 21 and possessing diamorphine. She was given a three month curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 8pm and 7am. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Lee Walker-Wright, aged 55, of Wellington Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for stealing an electric drill, worth £150, from B&Q, Halesowen, on July 21. He was also sentenced for failing to provide a non-intimate sample for the purpose of ascertaining whether he had a class A drug in his body, at Oldbury Custody Suite on July 22. He must carry out 80 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Andrew James Lewis, aged 52, of Aziz Isaac Close, Oldbury, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for causing £71 worth of damage to a van in Oldbury on February 28. He must pay compensation of £70, a victim surcharge of £20 and £130 court costs.

Cameron John Collins, aged 23, of Springfield Road, Brierley Hill, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for causing £208.10 worth of damage to a car park barrier at intu Merry Hill on January 29. He must pay compensation of £208.10, a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.

Christopher Alan Smith, aged 40, of Cedar Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for harassing a woman between November 17 and December 4, 2016. He must carry out 60 hours unpaid work, pay £500 compensation, a £115 victim surcharge and £150 court costs.

Chad Boyer Foley, aged 41, of Carlton Avenue, Pedmore, was sent to prison for 18 weeks, suspended for 18 months, for causing £500 worth of damage to a car in Halesowen on July 10. He was also sentenced for causing £2,000 worth of damage to windows at CRI Atlantic House in Lye, stealing £10.79 worth of alcohol, soft drinks and cigars from Thorns Off-Licence, Quarry Bank, and assaulting a police officer in Dudley on July 20. He also used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards another police officer in Dudley on July 20, with intent to cause them to believe violence would be used. The offence was racially aggravated. Foley was given a two month curfew and for the duration, must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must also pay compensation of £1,100.

Michael John Idoine, aged 48, of Crabbe Street, Lye, was sent to prison for 14 weeks for stealing a hair dryer, worth £54.99, from Boots, Merry Hill, on July 25, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Gary Craig Gooding, aged 41, of Blackbrook Road, Netherton, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving in Dudley on July 10. When tested, he had 116mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 28 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Jay Adams, aged 18, of Gordon Crescent, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for 14 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for offering 22 knuckle dusters for sale in Oldbury on July 12. He was given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Nigel John Turner, aged 78, of Ranscombe Drive, Lower Gornal, was fined £170 for drink driving in Dudley on May 19. When tested, he had 68mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Lee James Fisher, aged 37, of Chiltern Close, Dudley, was sent to prison for 112 days for stealing polo shirts, worth £680, from Diffusion, Brierley Hill, on April 19. He must pay £680 compensation and a victim surcharge of £115.
