EMERGENCY medics took two people to hospital after a rush-hour smash in Lye.
The collision, involving two cars, happened on Pedmore Road this morning (August 10).
West Midlands Ambulace Service was called at 7.27am, the caller reported smoke coming from one of the vehicles.
A paramedic officer and ambulance were dispatched, fire crews from Brierley Hill and Stourbridge were also sent to the incident.
While firefighters made the scene safe medics assesed three people, two men aged 61 and 71, both occupants of the same car, were taken to Russells Hall hospital after reporting chest pains.
Firefighters were in action earlier in the morning also on Pedmore Road after a car hit a lamp post.
A fire engine was sent to the incident at 2.01am to find the vehicle ablaze, the driver had left the scene.
Firefighters used a hose reel to put out the flames and the Highways Agency was called to make the lamp post safe.
