A YANKEE Candle thief has been sent to prison for six weeks.

Sarah Louise Jones, of Heath Green, Dudley, stole the candles, worth £49.02, from B&M Bargains in Dudley on September 11. 

The 37-year-old must also pay a victim surcharge of £115.

The following also appeared before Dudley Magistrates Court between September 8 and 13:

Neil Lloyd Gordon, aged 52, of Smith Street, Dudley, was sent to prison for 16 weeks for stealing items, worth £68 from shops in Dudley on May 21 and 24. He was also sentenced for failing to attend an initial assessment to establish whether he was dependent upon or had a propensity to misuse a class A drug, in Stourbridge on June 21. Gordon must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Ross Andrew Hierons, aged 38, of Southwick Road, Halesowen, was sent to prison for six weeks for stealing chicken slices, worth £12, from Tesco, Stourbridge, on September 11. He must pay £12 compensation and a victim surcharge of £115.

Ryan Michael Neill, aged 23, of Dadford View, Brierley Hill, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving in Brierley Hill on August 27. When tested he had 51mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for three years and must carry out 80 hours unpaid work. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Kirsty Elaine Wilkes, aged 25, of Cherry Green, Wrens Nest, was given a 28 day community order for possessing cannabis and assaulting a police officer in Dudley on August 25. She was given a 28 day curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 8pm and 7am. Wilkes must also pay £75 compensation, £135 court costs and a victim surcharge of £85.

Lucy Hickman, aged 42, of Summer Road, Wrens Nest, was given a nine month community order for assaulting a woman and a police officer in Dudley on July 11. She must pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Geoffrey George Brewer, aged 44, of New Street, Wordsley, was given an eight week community order for assaulting a man in Dudley on July 30. He was given an eight week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 9pm and 7am. He must also pay £250 compensation.

Harvey Douglas Williams, aged 35, of Severn Road, Halesowen, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, for making off without paying for £113.60 worth of diesel in Halesowen on June 5 and damaging a plant pot, worth £70, in Halesowen on July 6. He must pay compensation of £178.60, a victim surcharge of £115 and £100 court costs.

Steven Parkes, aged 24, of Claycroft Place, Lye, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months for stealing £141.98 worth of goods from shops in Merry Hill on January 11, 16 and June 27. He must pay compensation of £89.98, a victim surcharge of £115 and £200 court costs.

Mark Hardy, aged 37, of Cemetery Road, Lye, was given a nine month community order for entering Coral Bookmakers in Lye as a trespasser on September 12, with intent to steal. He was fined £100 and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £50 court costs.

Karl Robert Plant, aged 45, of Pine Green, Dudley, was fined £400 for drink driving in Sedgley on August 27. When tested, he had 48mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £40 and £135 court costs.

Brandon Lee Hogan, aged 19, of Dixons Green Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for entering Boots Opticians in Halesowen as a trespasser and stealing glasses worth £180 between July 18 and 20. He must carry out 60 hours unpaid work and pay compensation of £350, a victim surcharge of £85 and £50 court costs.
