A STOURBRIDGE paranormal investigator is hoping to take supernatural exploration to a new level in a new TV show.

Jayne Harris, of HD Paranormal, is working with a team of experts including scientists, psychics, paranormal investigators and archaeologists on a brand new programme entitled Lost Legends.

Production for the show, which combines history, science and the supernatural, is set to get underway in January 2018.

Jayne, who grew up in Stourbridge but recently moved to Shropshire, said: “I’m really excited."

She and a friend who works in TV production came up with the idea for the show which follows hot on the heels of Jayne’s self-made first-ever documentary Who Put Bella in the Wych Elm? which was screened at Stourbridge Town Hall in August and which is set for another showing at the venue on Halloween (October 31).

The first episode of Lost Legends is to be filmed in January and will see Jayne and the team of experts carrying out investigations, using high-tech geophysical laser equipment, at the supposedly haunted Manor Hotel in Weston-on-the-Green, near Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The property dates back to the 16th century and is reputedly haunted by a nun nicknamed Mad Maud who, legend has it, was burnt at the stake for breaking her vows of chastity. She is said to wander the hotel at night.

Guests are also reported to have heard a phantom coach and horses drawing up in the hotel's courtyard.

In total, six episodes are planned initially which will see the Lost Legends team digging into some of the UK’s most intriguing mysteries.

Jayne said: “We’re going to try and go to places that haven’t been on TV before or haven’t had that depth of investigation before. We have got some really amazing places in mind."
