A MAN has been taken to hospital after a two-car smash in Wollaston this morning (Friday).
Bridgnorth Road was closed to traffic, between Wollaston Road and Ridge Street, following the incident which happened just after 6am.
One of the cars involved had come to rest against a tree, trapping the driver - a man in his 50s - inside.
Following the arrival of emergency crews, he was released from the car and assessed at the scene before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley with an arm injury and suspected fractured jaw.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the service sent one ambulance after receiving an emergency call at 6.12am.
Firefighters from Stourbridge and Brierley Hill also attended and tweeted from the scene.
