AN Oldbury man has been given a suspended sentence for drink driving.

Brian James Horton, of Conway Avenue, had 60mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath when he was caught behind the wheel in Halesowen on July 2. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

The 33-year-old was also sentenced for assaulting a woman on three separate occasions, possessing cocaine and causing £1,000 worth of damage to a door, Playstation 4, TV, mobile phones and a bird cage.

He was given a 24 week prison sentence, suspended for two years and must pay compensation of £600.

Arron Lee Bowen, aged 29, of Farm Road, Quarry Bank, was fined £250 for drink driving in Dudley on September 30. When tested, he had 44mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also fined £125 for possessing cocaine. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Tracy Onions, aged 31, of Corbett Road, Brierley Hill, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing washing powder, worth ££55.92, from B&M Bargains, Dudley, on September 28 and 30. She must pay a victim surcharge of £20, compensation of £27.96 and £135 court costs.

Paul Rudge, aged 35, of Halesowen Road, Old Hill, was fined £320 for drink driving in Brierley Hill on September 30. When tested, he had 75mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving without a licence or insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and £135 court costs.

Gavin Mark Smith, aged 35, of Clock Tower View, Wordsley, was given a 12 month community order for stealing items, worth £505, from shops in Kingswinford and Brierley Hill on September 17 and October 10 and 11. He was given a four week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 10pm and 6am. He must also pay compensation of £343, a victim surcharge of £85 and £185 court costs.

Christopher Derek Alan Hancox, aged 38, of Dadford View, Brierley Hill, was given a nine month community order for drink driving in Dudley on October 5. When tested, he had 105mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for two years and must pay a £100 fine, a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Mark Beardsmore, aged 33, of Occupation Street, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for two years for stealing a jumper, worth £40, from Superdry, Merry Hill, on October 4. He must pay compensation of £39.99, a victim surcharge of £20 and £50 court costs.

Janet Rollinson, aged 53, of Wavell Road, Quarry Bank, was sent to prison for 12 weeks for stealing a handbag in Merry Hill on June 3. She must pay compensation of £200.

William Joseph Murphy, aged 57, of Oakham Road, Dudley, was fined £450 for assaulting a man in Rowley Regis on July 21. He must pay compensation of £100, £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £45.
