DUDLEY Council's fostering service has launched a campaign to find carers for teenagers.

‘It’s not about the hello...it’s about the whole journey’ aims to show how rewarding fostering adolescents can be.

People who think they might be up to the job should visit www.fosteringindudley.org.uk to find out more about the 24 hour support, training and guidance on offer.

Councillor Anne Millward, Dudley's cabinet member for children’s services, said: “We’re always looking for new foster carers from all different backgrounds.

"Fostering is one of the best jobs in the world; no other job allows you to make such a difference in a young person’s life.

“There’s so much more to fostering than that first hello, it’s about nurturing each and every child, encouraging them to achieve their full potential.

“Each young person arrives with their own individual journey to go through - no matter what age they are - and our carers are the incredible people who help them through every step of the way."
