GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there are reports of A441 Birmingham Road in Hopwood being closed, with slow traffic in the area, due to a police incident near The Drive.

Heavy traffic is affecting journeys on A491 High Street southbound in Amblecote before A451 Bath Road and St Johns Road as well as on A457 Dudley Road East in Oldbury around Roway Lane / Brades Road.

The usual congestion at the Burnt Tree traffic lights in Dudley and Birchley Island in Oldbury is also causing delays.

There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include:

Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

There are also speed restriction of 20 mph in Pensnett due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4101 High Street at High Oak.

In Kidderminster, electricity work and temporary traffic lights will be in place on Habberley Lane at Habberley Road until December 8, while water main work and temporary traffic lights are in place on A456 Coventry Street at Radford Avenue.

In Oldbury, electricity work and temporary traffic lights are on Tat Bank Road at Parsonage Street, as well as on A4034 Bromford Road at Credenda Road, near Sandwell and Dudley train station.
