A DUDLEY taxi firm has revved The Big Push total up to £19,006.
We now have enough cash to buy 31 new wheelchairs for Russells Hall Hospital - and we're getting closer to hitting our £30,000 target to purchase 50.
The latest £600 donation has come from ABC Taxis, based in Castle Hill.
Dean Khan, one of the firm's managers, said: "We as a company are proud to get behind The Big Push campaign, which aims to provide much needed wheelchairs for Russells Hall Hospital.
"This is our way of making a little contribution to a very good cause."
Karen Phillips, fundraising manager for the Dudley Group NHS Charity, said: "We really appreciate the donation by ABC Taxis.
"We have been overwhelmed by the support from local businesses who are really keen to make a difference."
Each wheelchair costs £600 and you can help boost our total by popping into our offices at St John’s House, Stourbridge, with cash or cheques - made payable to Dudley Group NHS Charity/Wheelchairs.
Donations can also be made online via www.justgiving.com/campaigns/charity/dghc/wheelchairs or by texting NEWS66 followed by an amount of £2, £5 or £10 to 70070.
