A BAND who were set to record a song with Dolores O’Riordan have said they are “heartbroken” the collaboration will not go ahead after the death of the Cranberries singer.

Hard rock band Bad Wolves were due to record a cover of Cranberries hit Zombie with O’Riordian on Tuesday.

The band posted a message on Facebook saying they were “shocked and saddened” at the news of O’Riordian’s death at the age of 46.

PRESENTERS Gabby Logan and Radzi Chinyanganya and Arsenal WFC captain Alex Scott are backing a new scheme to help primary school teachers to inspire children to become more active.

The trio are ambassadors for Super Movers, an initiative from the BBC and the Premier League.

Super Movers will bring stars from the worlds of football, music and television together in free educational videos aimed at capturing children’s imaginations and helping teachers to get them moving throughout the day with a series of routines and activities.

THE X Factor could run for another 10 years, host Dermot O’Leary has predicted.

The TV star has said the show will continue as long as talented people audition to be on it.

The singing competition has suffered in the ratings in recent years and, while it was once neck and neck with Saturday night rival Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC show has pulled significantly ahead.

CALL The Midwife star Helen George has said she chose to have a caesarean because it was “right for me at the time”.

The actress said her role in the medical drama means she has heard a lot of horror stories about birth and she knew what her body was capable of.

George, who plays Trixie Franklin in the BBC show, welcomed her first child, Wren Ivy, with her partner and co-star Jack Ashton in September 2017.

George, who was diagnosed with a liver condition called ICP (intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy) which resulted in itching all over her body, from it is common for women to feel guilty about choosing to have a caesarean and there should be a national conversation to remove the stigma.
